As the leadership of South Oaks Community Church, we want to see everyone become all that God has created them to be. This involves people getting set free from the hindrances that hold them back, to realize and develop their gifts and abilities, and be discipled and mentored. Both of us have personally experienced freedom from past hurts and hindrances and desire to see everyone at South Oaks living in that freedom too! We have a background in the business world, in ministry and in real life! Leadership development, life development, ministry training and Bible teaching are key parts our ministries. We are married with three children, who make us proud of them every day!
I am originally from the Caribbean island of Haiti. Born into a dysfunctional family, I spent all my early childhood with my grandparents. Due the absence of my immediate family, I struggled with insecurity, low self-esteem, anger, and bitterness. I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in my young adult years. My life has taken a drastic turn from darkness into light, with a passion to reach the lost. I became involved in street evangelism, hospital visitation and prison ministry. After coming to the US, I obtained a BA at Bethany College of Missions and a MA at Crown College. I worked at Teen Challenge for seven years, and for three and half years as an outreach pastor prior to coming to South Oaks. I am also licensed as a drug and alcohol counselor. I am deeply passionate to see people discover their purpose in life and follow God.
